Meet the Gibanov Brothers

Steve graduated from California Culinary Academy in 2002, Chef Steve has worked in some of the top restaurants and hotels in San Francisco, most notably the Sir Francis Drake Hotel and the famed Acme Chophouse. Relocating to Sacramento in 2015, he founded American River Provisions. Steve’s philosophy is simple; focus on quality ingredients, proper technique, simplicity, and elegance.

Theodore Gibanov, born and raised in Sacramento, CA, has been cooking since an early age. Closely watching his grandmother and mother in the kitchen, he learned and mastered classic Russian dishes and later expanded into different cuisines and techniques.  Theodore was awarded best bacon in Sacramento’s bacon festival in 2016 and also made it on to City Scout Magazine's list of the top 5 burgers in Sacramento later that same year.
